you are my sunshine!
thank goodness for sunshine and seeing the sun! it was much overdo and very needed. thanks Lord!
it’s too bad that we let the external things in life affect us in such a way that we get depressed and down from them. getting down for me can be as simple as the lack of sunshine, feeling cooped up after a long snowy weekend, not feeling appreciated, getting overwhelmed at work, under appreciated and the list can go on and on; unfortunately!
to move from situational happiness to the real joy we get in Christ would be a much better way to live! it would matter what goes on in life, but we would be secure in knowing we are loved, that there is a plan for our lives and that God walks with us each step of the way. i think we know this and believe this. however, like too many things in life we can know it without feeling or living it. we can to quickly forget because we’re focusing on all the rest of lifes issues and trying to keep up with the things of the world. living this takes unplugging from life on a regular basis and connecting to Christ in personal ways. doing this bring peace and joy beyond ourselves!
there are people all of us know that seem to exude that joy and happiness that comes from beyond them. that comes from Christ. they are joyful and confident in all things because they have a bigger kingdom picture and are assured of their faith and live connected to Christ. that’s also part of what it means to liveCHRIST like we are trying to do in our ministry.
joyful in all things!
psalm 144:15 yes, joyful are those who live like this! joyful indeed are those whose God is the Lord.
