two in a row

the pessimist in me usually is louder than the optimist. bummer, but i do get a bit of perverse joy being a pessimist from time to time.  it’s more realistic in my book.  however, when there is cause for hope and joy, then i should really jump on it and let the optimist out to play.

today is one of those days. we’ve had a great night in undertow tonight after having a great night worshiping with 242 and some other youth groups. we talked with undertow about being the “fragrance of Christ” and how they can give of not only a pleasing aroma to God but also the aroma of life to those around them who are hurting and dying.  we even went into a room full of “fog and incense” to help them visualize what the sweet presence of Christ might be like.  it was cool and i think there where plenty who were listening.  i hope it will be a memory they can actually live out daily.

wow, that feels really good! a little hope once in awhile gives me the drive to keep going.  thanks Lord!
