in His grip, thankfully!

wow! on tuesday i spent from 8 am to 3 pm in and around gettyburg and it was one of the most amazing days i’ve had in awhile. the only thing possibly better would have been to have dawn there. she teaches history and the civil war is in the next few weeks. i was a history major and this stuff really was so cool.

they had just opened a brand new visitor center and museum on monday and it was sweet. then after 2 hours in there i went on a driving tour with an audio cd and that took three and a half hours. i hiked to the top of little round top, out to pickett’s charge and to the campground we get to stay in this summer.

then on a recommendation from a friend i found a tavern in the basement of a house built in 1792. the bar i sat at was built before 1808. way cool and the food was great. overall it was a great road trip to check out our sumer trip!
